[NEWS RELEASE] TAMPA, FL. — January 2, 2008.  It’s Showtime at Sweetbay, Baby!  Sweetbay Supermarket is the exclusive retail distributor of 2008 Florida State Fair tickets.  Discount gate admission tickets are NOW on sale at participating Sweetbay Supermarket stores through February 6, 2008. 

Adults can save $4 on admission tickets purchased in advance and children save $1 off normal gate prices; kids ages 5 and under are admitted free.  Sweetbay Supermarkets participating in the Fair discount admission ticket program are located throughout ten Florida counties including Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Polk, Manatee, Sarasota, Hardee, Desoto, and Highlands counties. 

Fair admission tickets can be obtained at the Sweetbay Supermarket customer service desk along with Fair brochures. There is no service charge when purchasing advance tickets through Sweetbay locations and only gate admission tickets (not ride tickets or armbands) are sold at participating stores.  Discount gate admission ticket offers are as follows:

• Adult Tickets (ages 12 and older):
- $6 advance ticket price
- Save $4 when buying in advance!

• Children (ages 6-11):
- $4 advance ticket price
- Save $1 when buying in advance!

• Kids (ages 5 and under):
- Free admission!
- Must obtain complimentary admission ticket upon arrival at Fair ticket window

Get your discounted Fair admission tickets at a Sweetbay Supermarket before it’s too late to save on these sweet deals!  All other Fair discount offers are available without a service charge at the Florida State Fair Box Office beginning January 7 through February 6, 2008.  Orders placed through the mail, fax, or online will incur a $2 service charge for postage and handling.  Orders placed through the mail or fax must be received by January 18 and orders placed online must be made by January 29 to ensure delivery prior to the Fair.

- 30 tickets per sheet for $24 per sheet
- Save $6 when buying in advance!

• Pepsi Armbands:
- Valid on February 8, 10, 15, 17, or 18
- Ride unlimited number of rides on these days (for participating rides only)
- $20 an armband -- save $5 when buying in advance!
 
• Family Fun Pack:
- One package admits for 4 people, includes 30 ride tickets, and 1 Fair souvenir
- $44 each package -- save up to $26 off gate price by buying in advance!
- Advance sale offer only; cannot be purchased once the Fair starts

• Group Sales:
- Exclusive group deals with each ticket package 
- Sold in packages of 20, 50, 100, 250, and 500 tickets
