“You Name It” Roller Coaster Contest Rules & Regulations


• Contest opens on Thurs., Feb. 7, 2008 at 9 a.m. and ends on Wed., Feb 13, 2008 at closing time.

• Must submit name entry form(s) at a Fair guest relations booth only.

• Do not have to ride the roller coaster to participate in the contest.

• All Florida State Fair Authority paid employees and family members are not eligible to participate.

• The same person may enter different names for roller coaster as long as they are on separate entry forms. Entry forms with more than one name on them will not be accepted. Only one name will be picked as the winning entry.

• If the winner chosen is less than 18 years of age, the prize must be claimed by a parent or guardian.

• If the winning name is submitted by two different people on a different day, the person that entered the name first will win.  If the winning name is submitted by two different people on the same day, the prize will be split between the two submissions.

• Winner will receive a $500 cash prize and will be contacted by Sat., Feb. 16, 2008 to claim their prize.

• On Sun., Feb. 17, 2008 the new roller coaster name will be displayed at the “You Name It” roller coaster.

 


All acts, concerts, scheduled times, exhibitors, prices, and other advertised events are subject to change and/or cancel without notice.  Fair gate admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages six to 11; and free for children five and younger.  NO RE-ENTRY is permitted without an admission ticket.  Gates open daily at 9 a.m. and parking is free during the 12 days of the Fair.

The 104th annual Florida State Fair will take place on February 7-18, 2008.  The Florida State Fair – always in Tampa and always in February – is organized by the Florida State Fair Authority under the leadership of Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.  Agriculture Commissioner Charles H. Bronson leads the Fair Authority, which oversees the Florida State Fairgrounds and the annual Florida State Fair.
