For more than 100 years the Florida State Fair has been hosting competitions for the residents of Florida to showcase their livestock, produce, and artistic items. There are special rules that govern each competition and the exhibitor must abide by them. A general rule is that an exhibitor must reside in Florida to enter Family Living Competitions as well as the Cheer and Dance Championships. This rule does not apply to other competitions. The 2007 Family Living Competitions were presented by Kitchen Craft, marketers of the original and first stainless steel, waterless cookware in the world.
Qualified judges are engaged and premiums are awarded according to the merit of the entry. All premiums are paid from entries in the judge's books.
