[NEWS RELEASE] TAMPA, FL. — January 25, 2008.  Wendy White-Jackson has been hired as Assistant Controller for the Florida State Fair Authority (FSFA) for a newly created position that was approved by the Authority Board for its 2008 fiscal year. 

With over twenty years of accounting experience, Mrs. White-Jackson will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the FSFA accounting and finance department. This department includes accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, purchasing, inventory control, contract administration, and the box office.  Chuck Pesano, FSFA Executive Director, notes that the new position reports directly to the Controller and will allow the Authority to provide a higher level of management and accounting assistance to its various departments.  “We are very excited about having Wendy working for the Authority,” Pesano said.  “To be able to hire a person of her caliber with such a diverse and vast knowledge of accounting and finance will be a significant benefit for our organization.”

Mrs. White-Jackson moved to Tampa Bay four years ago from Ohio with her husband.  During her 24 years of experience in the accounting field, she has held various accounting management positions including that of Controller with ITA Title Agency Inc; Accounting Manager with Complient; and Accountant with Harley Davidson Dealer Systems Inc. 

The newly hired Assistant Controller will experience her first Florida State Fair in just a few weeks.  The 104th annual Florida State Fair will take place on February 7-18, 2008.
