It is our mission to keep guests and staff safe while also continuing to make your visit a memorable experience. The Florida State Fairgrounds is taking extra precautions to assure the health and safety of our employees and guests.

Health & Safety Measures


Hand Sanitizer Stations

There will be hand sanitation & handwashing stations throughout the Fairgrounds. We highly recommend the use of hand sanitization stations as well as washing your hands frequently.

Check-in Process

For security reasons, bag checks are still necessary. Please limit the items you bring to speed up the check-in process, and we strongly advise purchasing your tickets prior to arriving at the fair.
Cashless payment

Limited Contact

To limit contact, cashless payment options are available and encouraged, and we strongly advise avoiding handshakes, embraces, and physical contact with others.

Masks are encouraged in all indoor spaces along with following social distancing guidelines, maintaining 6 feet of space from others.

Facility cleaning protocols, including bathroom maintenance and frequent public touchpoints, has been increased to ensure cleanliness and the health and safety of all guests.

Please self-check for COVID-19 symptoms before you visit the fair. If you or any member of your family is not feeling well, please do not visit.

Florida State Fair Rules & Policies

To protect everyone’s safety and security, we ask that all of our guests follow our rules and policies. The Florida State Fair is a quasi-governmental entity under the supervision of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The Florida State Fair reserves the right to search all packages, bags, strollers, clothing, cups, pocketbooks, briefcases, your person, and any other objects deemed to be a possible carrier of any prohibited item (s), destructive or lethal device.

Security and Safety Policies

Our visitors’ safety is our top concern. Surveillance cameras will be operating throughout the fairgrounds every day of the fair. The security of the property is under the jurisdiction of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Daily during the fair, you can expect a presence of Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department.

Ticket Sales Policies

No re-sale or public promotion of Florida State Fair tickets. All companies, organizations, and individuals are welcome to purchase tickets or ride wristbands. Only authorized firms are able to use fair tickets for sale or promotion to the public. Consignment or other purchases of tickets are available on the premise that they will be used by the individuals purchasing them, or for employees or immediate family members of companies and organizations purchasing them. If the Florida State Fair Authority finds a violation of the ticket sales policy, management reserves the right to void all tickets purchased. All tickets, wristbands, and coupons become void after the last day of the fair.

Photo & Video Policy

Photo, video, and audio may be taken for promotional purposes. By entering the Florida State Fairgrounds, you consent, waive all rights to royalties and release the Florida State Fair of any liability. You agree to your likeness used, published or reproduced in any and all media which can be used, now or in the future, for any purpose by or in connection with the Florida State Fair, its sponsors, organizers and providers.
