Why was the 2021 Florida State Fair Postponed?
The Florida State Fair Authority Board of Directors made the decision to postpone the annual Florida State Fair to April. There are no guarantees with the current COVID-19 pandemic, moving the dates of the 2021 Fair out by two months provides a better opportunity to host the large event.
Originally scheduled for February 11-22, 2021, the Florida State Fair competitions, entertainment, carnival, and other attractions and activities will now be scheduled for some time in April 2021, pending COVID-19 health status. The rescheduled dates will be announced as soon as they are permitted through the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The Market Steer and Swine show competitions will still be held in February, as previously announced.
What are the new dates of the 2021 Florida State Fair?
The Florida State Fair competitions, entertainment, carnival, and other attractions and activities are now be scheduled for April 22-May 2, 2021.
I already bought tickets for the 2021 Florida State Fair, can I use them for the new dates?
Admission tickets and ride armbands that have been purchased for the 2021 Florida State Fair, previously scheduled for February 11-22, will be valid for the new event dates in April 2021 or guests may request a refund by January 30th. I am a participant in the agriculture shows, what are my options?
Agriculture Shows & Competitions
The rescheduled dates for agriculture shows and competitions will be announced as soon as they are permitted through the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Further details will be released as they are available.
Entry Deadlines: The 1st Late Entry Period will be extended until January 11th, 2021 for the following Youth Shows: Youth Beef, Youth Dairy, Youth Dairy Goat, Youth Sheep, Youth Dog, Youth Llama, and Youth Rabbit. Entries are subject to space availability and will be charged the double-entry fees. The Final Late Entry charges have been suspended.
January 11, 2021 – Purebred and Youth Poultry, Open and Youth Boer Goat, Open Rabbit. (Double Entry Fees suspended)
February 1, 2021 – All Record Books (except Steer & Swine) Postmark Deadline, Illustrated Talk and Demonstration Video Submissions, Chapter/Club Appointed Showman for Steer and Swine Shows, Dairy Pride Award Entry.
New dates will be determined for the Pre-Fair Promotional Video Submissions, Ag Teacher / Extension Agent Request Form and Chapter/Club Appointed Showman for all Youth Shows (except Steer and Swine).
Market Swine and Steer: The 2021 Swine Show will be February 12th – 14th and the Steer Show will be February 19th – 21st.

What about other events scheduled at the Florida State Fairgrounds?
The Florida State Fairgrounds is still open for business and is safely hosting non-fair events including the upcoming Gold and Gulf Coast Quarter Horse Shows scheduled for December 27 – January 7 and the Florida RV SuperShow scheduled for January 13 – 17.
We continue to take enhanced health and safety measures and are in regular contact with authorities and are prepared to respond to recommendations issued by the Centers for Disease Control and the Florida Department of Health.
