The mission of Ag in the Classroom is to teach third grade students about the importance of agriculture. Students develop an understanding of the impact of agriculture in their every day lives. Your school will be assigned to one of three different tours that will have a balance of plant and animal science.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
Ag-Venture is a learning experience designed to teach students about agriculture and the importance of where our food comes from, featuring a variety of group activities and hands-on stations. In Hillsborough County, there is a large variety of agricultural learning opportunities. From bees to aquaculture to fiber, there is always something to touch, taste or see!

Students will participate in hands-on learning activities in five different stations between 10:20 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. Students will need to bring a packed lunch. Your school will have an assigned area to place their students’ lunches when they arrive at the fairgrounds. Please let us know in advance of any students in need of special accommodations or students with food allergies so we may assist accordingly.
