Located on the Florida State Fairgrounds, Mildred W. and Doyle E. Carlton, Jr.’s Cracker Country is Tampa’s only living history museum. With 13 original structures that date back to the late 1800s and knowledgeable docents in historic dress, stepping into Cracker Country feels like a step back in time. Educational groups can schedule tours, and members of the public can enjoy Cracker Country during the annual Florida State Fair or during select special events.
