Frequently Asked Questions

What is the youth admissions policy for the Fair?

After 6:00 PM Youth Policy

For all 12 days of the 2025 Florida State Fair, after 6:00 p.m. persons 17 years of age or younger must be accompanied by an admission-paying parent or guardian, 21 years of age or older with a valid ID, in order to join the fair fun!

It rained during my visit. Can I have a refund?

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, rides and operations might be temporarily affected. We always do our best to keep the fun going, but please remember that all purchases are final—no refunds or rainchecks. We will continue to post the most updated information at Floridastatefair.com and all of our social media channels.

What are the security procedures upon entry to the Fair?

We want everyone to have a blast AND stay safe! Security will check all bags and packages and will screen for prohibited items using hand-held metal detectors. Prohibited items include: unlawful weapons or firearms as those terms are defined by Florida law, items that may be deemed unsafe or inappropriate (on a case-by-case basis), luggage, coolers, bags with wheels, and full-face masks. As safety is our top priority, we will have surveillance cameras operating daily, and officers from Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department on-site.

Are recreational wheels (roller skates, skateboards, etc.) allowed at the Fair?

We love a good ride, but for safety’s sake, skateboards, rollerblades, hoverboards, and tennis-shoe-style roller skates are a no-go at the Fair.

May I bring my own food and beverages into the Fair?

One of the best parts of the Fair is enjoying the delicious food! Outside food and drinks aren’t allowed, except for guests with special dietary needs, food allergies, baby food/formula, or individually wrapped snacks for kids.

Are pets permitted at the Fair?

We love pets, but they’re not allowed at the Fair (except for service animals). If you’re bringing a service animal, just be sure to keep them under control on a leash or harness while you enjoy all the Fair has to offer!

Where can I rent a wheelchair or scooter for the fair?

Guests are free to bring their own wheelchairs, scooters, and strollers! These items can also be rented at Scootaround tents located at Gates 1, 2, 3, and pricing is as follows:

Electric Scooters – $65

Wheelchairs – $25

Double Strollers – $17

Wagons – $17

Single Stroller – $11

Where is lost and found located?

Lost items are collected at the lost and found location right outside the Expo Hall center doors on the midway side. We’ll do our best to reunite you with your stuff, but remember that the Fair is not responsible for lost, missing, or stolen personal property.
